Integrity in Relationships

Living with integrity does not happen by default. It’s a conscious decision and it takes effort to follow through! But in order to get the results of living a life of integrity, you have to be willing to make the consistent choices, sacrifices, and decisions associated with that decision.

And it’s worth it. Here’s why.

Everything is a relationship. Your relationships with others, your relationship with your business, with your money, with you health, with time, etc. Your relationships are like a mirror that are constantly reflecting back to you what your deepest beliefs and intentions are.

There is NO escaping cause-and-effect. You are the cause, and your reflections are the effects!

When you are the best in all areas of your life, relationships, and business, everything in your life, relationships, and business will reflect that.

Here's What This Means:

  • Your build your life, relationships, and business on a foundation of integrity and results

  • You never do, and you never let a friend or client do ANYTHING that isn’t in their best interests

  • You take personal responsibility for your impact on others

  • You take personal responsibility for the welfare of people who trust and rely on you for their wellbeing in any way

  • You do not take on relationships where you have nothing meaningful to contribute

  • You consider all decisions in your life, relationships and business from a lens of full integrity and high ethical standards

Consider your results, outcomes, and experiences like a mirror. What's the mirror reflecting back at you?

If your intentions are to find people who can serve you, give to you, and exclusively benefit your needs and wants in some way, your relationships are going to reflect that right back to you and it’s going to show in the form of bad clients; no clients; broken friendships; people mistrusting you; inability to create real connections; inability to create a real difference; inability to get meaningful results for your clients; and inability to meaningfully contribute or impact others.

Over time, people are going to sense it and you’re going to have a really tough time in various aspects of your personal and professional relationships and in your career or business.

On the other hand, if you set the tone from the beginning, by deciding to live a life of integrity, and build your life, relationships, and business on a foundation of integrity and meaningful outcomes, then that’s what will get reflected back to you.

Potential friends, clients, and dating partners will trust you because they will see that you operate out of integrity.

Do you want decisive people in your life? Then you must be decisive! Do you want clients who pay quickly and without hesitation? Then you must pay your bills timely and without a negative attitude toward your financial obligations. It really is that simple.

If you’re sincere about wanting to get into meaningful relationships, you’re going to attract people who are sincere about building high-value relationships for themselves.

In business, if you pay on time and aren’t afraid to invest in yourself and in growing your wisdom, you are going to attract clients who match that sentiment.

The bottom line is that you attract the type of people in relationships that you are. So if you’re not getting the outcomes you prefer - it’s time to look within!
